Oppenheimer chronicles the life of J Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist who was pivotal in developing the first nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project, thereby ushering in the Atomic Age. Introduction to Sashiko Workshop
Venue: The Craft Studio, Richard Booth's Bookshop, Hay-on-Wye

At this workshop you will learn the basics of Sashiko embroidery supported by Kazuko and Ruth. Sashiko is a simple form of hand-stitching originating in Japan. You can use it to create beautiful designs and repeat patterns with just a simple running stitch. We will share tips on how to ensure accurate and beautiful results in Sashiko, and provide all the threads, fabrics and equipment needed to create a set of coasters to take home.
