Gladestry Women’s Institute

WI LogoThe women’s institute (WI) was established shortly before the First World War, “to enable women to enjoy different aspects of rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences, and advance their education in culture and crafts”. The WI is now the biggest voluntary national organisation for women.

Gladestry Women’s Institute meets on the third Tuesday of every month in the village hall.
